LAS VEGAS - eCommLink and Cubis Financial, Ltd. began construction on their new building Tuesday with an official groundbreaking ceremony. To commemorate the event, company officials placed a time capsule filled with industry-related items on the grounds of their Las Vegas headquarters.
Both eCommLink and Cubis service the financial payment card industry, which is growing rapidly. Company officials said their new building on Warm Springs Road, just a few blocks east of Las Vegas Boulevard South, will be able to accommodate the current growth path as well as future growth.
The new building will have enhanced state-of-the-art security. This includes biometrics, such as iris scans, in addition to personal identification numbers (PIN) that will be used to secure access into the facility.
The joint building will be two stories, totaling 25,000 square feet. The estimated completion date is September 2007.
The time capsule, to be opened in 2012, consists of contactless payment methods such as key fobs and mobile phones as well as general spend and gift cards. In addition, the companies will be placing various certifications and awards in addition to company memorabilia in the time capsule.
