SellingSource.com and eCommLink Announce Enterprise Payment Platform Joint Venture

April 17, 2006

LAS VEGAS — SellingSource.com and eCommLink Inc. announce the formation of a joint venture which aims to become the leading provider in the fast-growing "open systems" stored value payments marketplace.

The open system, or multipurpose stored value payment marketplace, offers a variety of products that are functionally similar to debit cards. With their complementary strengths, both SellingSource.com and eCommLink will create and market many new stored value offers and features.

SellingSource.com is a leading U.S. technology marketing company that focuses on the specialty finance sector. eCommLink, a technology development company, created one of the most feature-rich, comprehensive technology platforms in this country's stored value marketplace.

Key elements of the joint venture include:

  • Derek LaFavor is named eCommLink CEO
  • The relocation of eCommLink from its Houston-based headquarters to SellingSource.com headquarters in Las Vegas, currently home to more than 500 employees.
  • SellingSource.com providing eCommLink with the use of its first-class data center and call center facilities, as well as operational management and development support.
  • The combined development of a stored value program tailored to the needs of the subprime lending industry, a sector where SellingSource.com already has an exceptionally strong customer base.
  • Cross-licensing of SellingSource.com proprietary specialty finance products including trigger and event marketing technologies, closed loop credit products, POS overdraft privilege, and real-time data verification.
  • A $5 million investment in eCommLink resulting in a minority stake in the company for SellingSource.com.

"When we examined other stored value products on the market, we found they fell far short when it came to providing the flexibility, features, and transaction driving technologies our customers needed," said SellingSource.com Chief Executive Officer Derek LaFavor, "so we decided to define our own solution and build the most advanced technology platform with eCommLink as a technology provider, processor and partner. We are confident that eCommLink can deliver the most comprehensive and configurable solution in the marketplace -- one that's easy to implement, support, and integrate."
