LAS VEGAS, NV — eCommLink, Inc., congratulates Allow Card of America, Inc. on its nomination for the prestigious OSCARDS awards to be held in Paris on Nov. 8, 2006.
The OSCARDS, sponsored by France's Publi-News, are held annually to honor the world's most innovative credit and stored-value cards. The Allow Card, offered by Mesa, Ariz.-based Allow Card of America, Inc., is one of four pre-paid cards nominated for the prestigious award.
In a statement from Publi-News, the OSCARDS director, Ange Galula, wrote: "This selection follows a one-year process during which Alténor Consulting and Publi-News together identified 250 innovative cards worldwide. Of those 250 cards, 20 were selected in the following categories: 1) rewards and loyalty programs, 2) services, 3) shapes, design and visuals, 4) pre-paid cards, and 5) technologies."
Galula continued, "Banking experts from France, Belgium, the United States and Singapore will vote to decide who wins in each category."
Allow Card is up against cards from the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. In all, seven U.S.-based cards, at least one in every category, are nominated for this year's OSCARDS.
"The Allow Card is unique because it addresses many of the challenges parents face in educating youth on finance," said Marla Beans, CEO of Allow Card of America. "The Allow Card program offers more than 35 parental controls to help parents and children have an open conversation about money."
