LAS VEGAS, NV — Brett Smith, a proven leader in the financial and lending services industries, has just been named Chief Technology Officer by eCommLink, a top provider of branded, full-service prepaid debit card solutions and card processing, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Smith's role is to oversee the growth and management of the firm's technology infrastructure, architecture design, and application development—all while maintaining PCI compliance. He brings over 15 years of IT and operations management experience in the card and payment industry to eCommLink, a division of SellingSource.com, recently named Las Vegas' fastest-growing technology company.

Previously, Smith served as Senior Executive VP of MBNA America—the world's largest independent credit card company—where he was responsible for Internet, offshore, CRM, and systems globalization, among other major projects. Smith also managed technical teams providing development support for 18 business units in 26 regional and international sites, all while managing a $250 million annual operating budget. Smith has also held management roles at American Express Corporation, IBM, and GTE Communications Systems.
